NEW YORK, NY -- FRIDAY, OCT 17, 2008 -- Filmmaker Jeff Oppenheim, a partner in Big Fresh Pictures, announced today that the documentary film “A Passion for Giving”, for which he served as chief editor, has been accepted into the Hamptons International Film Festival. The film will screen on Friday, October 17, 2008, at 11AM at the UA Movie Theater 5 in East Hampton. The filmmaker, Robin Melaine Leacock, cameraman Robert Leacock and Jeff Oppenheim will be in attendance for the screening. “A Passion for Giving”, produced and created by filmmaker Robin Melaine Leacock, celebrates the passion and dedication associated with philanthropic giving and volunteering. It draws from the collective experience of a diverse group of individuals and explores their personal passion for the projects and/or charities that they support and/or founded. Among those interviewed are: Henry Buhl who started the Tribeca And SoHo Partnership; Count Alex de Lessop and his charitable work in Burma; David Sykes founder of VH1 Save the Music; Darryl McDaniels of the music group Run DMC; Food Critic Gael Greene; and others.

Robin Mealine Leacock’s credits include the documentary “It Girls” which aired on the WeTV network. She is married to acclaimed cameraman Robert Leacock. Among Jeff Oppenheim’s credits is the feature film “Funny Valentine”, now in distribution and the documentary “FlyGirls” now in post production.

Big Fresh Pictures is an artistically and technologically driven entertainment company engaged in the development, acquisition, production and merchandising of films for theatrical, television and DVD release.
