Logline:
American ex-pat Harry Hogan, a man with a past, guilty of everything except the murder he’s accused of, is forced into the deadly world of African politics to clear his not-so-good name – and remain alive. An offbeat, violent and sexy 21st Century “Casablanca”.
Plot Synopsis:
“Never get involved in third-world politics.” That motto has served the “break all the rules”, American ex-pat Harry Hogan very well during his eight years in the small African nation of Baranya. Harry’s one of the lucky few, living like a king while the rest barely live – until a stranger with an empty camera is gunned down in Harry’s bar, and everyone wants the pictures that Harry “honestly” doesn’t have. And that causes problems – real problems: there’s the murder that Harry’s accused of; the corrupt police; the woman; a thug from Harry’s mysterious past; the other woman; foreign agents; a psychotic octogenarian still dancing to Boney-M; a man-eating crocodile; and 500 spear-throwing Tambu warriors. So what are these missing pictures and will Harry find them? He’d better, if he wants to survive Another Sh**ty Day in Paradise – an offbeat, violent and sexy 21st Century “Casablanca”.
